We hope the feeder road from Miri to Marudi, crossing the Bakong River is in good condition to enable our Perodua Kancil to use it.

Marudi will be receiving about 30,000 visitors over the weekend.. Can you imagine that amount of human waste that would indirectly pollute the Baram River! Imagine downstream Kampung Narum, etc..
The quality of waste treatment in the area is at test! Mobile toilet is not the solution because the District Office still needs to dispose it elsewhere (treatment plant)..
Can we check or assure, if the treatment of waste was included in the tender document for the supply of mobile toilet?
Bigger Sape, and bigger human waste to think of, ehhh Cr. Simpson.

Despite my absence from the regatta - coz I live in KL, I really hope that Marudi will remain quiet and beautiful as it was back in the 70s. I studied in Marudi Government Secondary School from the late 60s. Naturally it was my first step into higher-learning. Being a native of Bakong, even today I can still remember some of my school friends, teachers and of course the principal Mr Pritler. But, they are all gone now or, maybe some are still living in Bario, Lio Mato or Miri. Like most Marudians I want to see infrastructure developments in the district, not a highway like those in the peninsula or motorway like in the US or Britain. But a nice ‘all-weather’ countryroad that could link Marudi with Miri. To all readers let us all pray that our MP now in KL had the same ambitions as we are who come from the interior in support of his constituency.
