Breakfast at home

To us who are non-Chinese, there is no other option but to have our breakfast at home on the first day of the Chinese New Year. Yes, Miri do have Malay stall and restaurant who open for business during this time of the year, but, sad enough, I haven’t find a really good Malay cooking in Miri (not yet… even the nearest one is at Pulau Melayu, at the Miri peninsular).

The Malay cuisine offered at various hotel in the city is an exception.

With no other choice, we decided to cook our very own prawn noodle.

And, of course served with our very own sambal belacan - hot, spicy and ummmppphhhhhhh.
