Rh. Aji, Sungai Selepin, Bakong
Last week during this time, I was busy organising a Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat session at Rh. Aji, Sg. Selepin in the Bakong District. The order came from YB Datuk Seri William Mawan, who is the Minister of Social and Urbanisation Sarawak. We had a brief meeting on Sunday during breakfast and decided to have the session on Wednesday evening.
Rh. Aji is about 45mins drive from Miri and located on low lying areas. My mission is to make sure the Barisan Nasional gain votes in this area. During the previous Parliamentary election, this longhouse have only 13 BN voters. I was made to understand that there are about 290 voters registered at this area/station.

Junction to Rh. Aji

Outdated poster of the independent candidate - BBS is no longer relevant.
My earlier trip was greeted with the UMNO flag and posters of the independent candidate - Kebing Wan. Very little is seen of the incumbent!

Water from Sg. Selepin overflow onto the road. Knee deep here.
We had to brave the swollen Sungai Selepin with our Ford Ranger. The depth here is about knee level.
