Malaysian facing tough time ahead

I did my shopping at the Fish Market at Jalan Bendahara last Sunday. The market was clean and do not smell bad. Yahhh.. the place usually smell terrible during the bubok season.

This ikan tongkol cost RM7/kg (some stall is selling it at RM6/kg - depending on size of the fish) last Sunday and the vendors will jack up the price by this week. I am sure fish are controlled item in Malaysia. And, the database server of IkanOnline, where we can check the price of fish is always down!

I don’t think the officers really go to the market daily to check on these prices. Not unless someone complains or call Lee Kim Shin, or Andy Chia to ask this officers to check. Our enforcement have always been questionable.

Ghee.. the consumers are beginning to feel the pinch now. Making it worst, we parents need to pay for our children education fees by end November. Tough life with the increase in the price of oil in the international market. Even the new subsidized petrol price will not help us.

It seem every item in the market carries a new price tag nowadays.
