Yahh ok ok.. so much have been said about broadband WiFi services in Sarawak. The media have been able to blow the news to make it look so good that the whole Malaysia knows Sarawak is the current leader in providing broadband WiFi to the people.
From Miri, to Mukah and recently to Debak in the Betong Division, we thought we could at least use it from the luxury of our longhouse or if not at least from the living rooms of most household in Miri (the first city to be provided with the FREE service).
Unfortunately, that is not the case in Miri. If you are in the commercial areas, you may have the service by now or may be you need some extra devices to search for the signal. Anyway, you can view the list of places that have the signal available for you to use. Or, if you need assistance on how to connect to DeConneXion, you may view my post on Connecting to DeConneXion.
Tomorrow, our Chief Minister will launch the service at Curtin University of Technology Sarawak and we will be able to see the students that carrying their notebook here and there.
I would love to hear the announcement (if any) by the Chief Minister of the availability of DeConneXion service in more residential areas such as RPR Permyjaya, RPR Piasau Jaya, RPR Batu 6, Taman Tunku, etc. At the moment, I can only see Shang Garden that have the services.
Otherwise, I believe the services is under utilised as most commercial organisation already have streamyx connection to their offices.
Good to hear but can’t use it!

Note: Trying to log in from Seberkas Commercial Centre. MBK_AP is the access point for Ma Baker free WiFi service.
