RM625 rebate for 3.0cc - better than nothing

1. How could the Prime Minister not take this issue in the first place? Only after our Datuk Patinggi Jabu and Datuk Seri William voice it up, then only he announced the extension of the rebate to us.
2. I would thought that 4WD vehicle owners who plight our rural roads would be given the fleet card to purchase subsidised diesel. However, our PM decided to give Sarawakians a small token ‘ang pau’ of RM625, which means we get to fill our 70 litres fuel tank 3.46 times for ‘free’ (sort of).
For those living in Long Banga, in the Baram tributaries, it means a week of ‘free’ travelling from Miri to Long Banga.
3. And, that leave us with another 51 weeks to worry about! It doesn’t help much and despite of that announcement, the price of consumer items would definitely increased.
4. If you have received ang pau during election time (usually RM100 per voter), then this ang pau is RM25 more than the usual amount.

Rebate also for 3,000cc vehicle owners in interior
KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has decided to extend the petrol and diesel subsidy cash rebate to owners of private vehicles up to 3,000cc in the interior areas of Sabah and Sarawak where such vehicles are widely used to transport goods, said Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
The Prime Minister said this was to ease the financial expenditure of four-wheel drive vehicle owners following the increase in petrol and diesel prices.
βIt has been decided to give the same rebate for vehicles of up to 3,000cc in Sabah and Sarawak registered to transport goods in the interior areas,β he said yesterday.
Similarly, in the peninsula, the Government would continue to provide appropriate assistance and facilities to boat and ferry operators to lighten their burden, he told reporters after a special briefing on the fuel subsidy restructuring for Barisan Nasional MPs and senators.
The Government has allocated RM5bil for the rebate payout to private vehicle owners who will receive RM625 a year for vehicles with engine capacity of up to 2,000cc or pick-up trucks and jeeps of up to 2,500cc.
Owners of motorcycles with engine capacity of up to 250cc are paid RM150 a year when they renew their road tax.
As of Friday, Pos Malaysia Bhd had disbursed RM437.23mil in the cash rebate to eligible private vehicle owners who account for 56% of vehicle owners in the country. β Bernama

so clever to win the rakyat heart. pak lah purposely show the big figure on the cash rebate (RM437.23 million as of last friday) hoping to gain sympathy from the rakyat that the government is really looking into the problem tapi persoalan nya adakah keputusan beliau telah dikaji secara menyeluruh??

How come paklah become a PM? Very stupid, weak and leak of knowledge in economy. Why people like this become a leader? Because his family is rich ask him to become a politician, only this, others nothing. I hope he can step down la..don’t waiting umno election but now. If we still wait, all of us become kebuluran. Ia enda kala idup menoa ulu, mata iya semina merening bansa iya empu, bansa bukai enda di iboh. Enti bansa iya maju, reti nya iya jadi pemimpin ti tebilang. chrizteena,
They attempt to do it, but never do it.
“DO” and “WILL DO” is much different.

Nothing have been done on that stretch of road after more than 100 days.
I guess the winners of PRU12 are still busy with their “talking” and “talking” again.
