Sarawak roads deserved the RM200 road tax cut and not…

By paying RM200 less per annum, will that makes the pick-ups owners, who are mainly business owners, agriculture product transporter to reduce the price of consumer items in rural areas? I doubt it very much.

Again, it seem that the Federal Government is not getting the correct picture from the East Malaysian states.

1. Our road condition is nothing compared to those in West Malaysia (90% reachability).

2. RM200 can’t even buy a tyre for a pick-up.

3. Just extend the fleet card system to those who are really in need of it and make it fast. I am sure, the Dayaks and rural East Malaysians are those who will not cheat to survive. Why kill the system that brings light to our daily lives.

My humble opinion
Of course we are thankful for the reduction, not because of the fuel price, but a long overdue announcement by the Federal government, considering our road conditions.

Road tax cut for Sabah and Sarawak too

PETALING JAYA: The RM200 reduction in road tax will also be applicable for jeeps and pick-ups with engine capacity above 3,000cc in Sabah and Sarawak.

This follows the Prime Minister’s announcement to extend the petrol and diesel subsidy cash rebate to owners of private vehicles up to 3,000cc in the interior areas of Sabah and Sarawak.

According to a press release by the Road Transport Department (JPJ), owners of these vehicles who have renewed their road tax according to the old rates can apply for refunds beginning July 1.

It said those who had renewed their road tax since June 1 could claim the difference between the old rate and the new rate at the nearest JPJ office or branch.

They will have to provide copies of their bank book, IC or IC of their representatives and fill the application form (JPJ K6 form), which can be obtained from JPJ offices or downloaded from its website (www.jpj.gov.my).

The refunds will be credited to their bank account.

It simply shows how arrogant they are when it comes to Sarawak. Like I have written in my previous comments , they look at Sarawak as their trump card or joker if you will. They can always rely on us when the time comes but chuck as to one side if we are not in use.

As for Aki Uban takut ngelaban and voice out enggai ke kena ACA baka Yong Teck Lee enti ngelaban.
