YB Lee early morning site visit

YB Lee on-site

I must give our Senadin DUN member, YB Lee Kim Shin, a salute this morning for his quick response on the traffic problem faced by Mirians at the newly installed traffic lights near Bintang Plaza. While we thank the Barisan Nasional government for their quick action, we too, are looking forward on how they will tackle the next problem - long traffic jam caused by the traffic lights.

Woo…….this is like solving a problem by creating another problem again.
Same old story always happening in malaysia.

I suggest we remove the traffic lights at the junction of Jalan Bintang and the Miri-Pujut Highway.

No comment on these. Problems like these had been going on for ages in Miri. We the residents of Promin Jaya have been asking for a “road hump” built along jln promin jaya 1, till 2day there is no sign of it. We have sign the form that had been given to us..BY THE REPRESENTATIVE OF MMC but what did they do to those forms? what next????

Building the flyover is just to shift the jam a few hundred metre away.

That’s how MAlaysian government do thing. Moving away problem, not solving problem.

    1. The number of motor vehicles in Miri have grown at a fast rate for the last two years. (No, I didn’t get the figure from the Statistic Dept., but merely via physical observation).

    2. The major schools are on the other side of Miri - St. Joseph, St. Columba, Pei Ming, Kolej Tun, etc. and the students are living on the opposite side.

    3. It is high time Miri have its own Light Rail Transport system plying Permy, Tudan, Senadin, to Miri Bazaar. A 1/2 month sales of petroleum product would be sufficient to kick-start the project.

    4. Build more houses towards Lambir area and expedite the construction of the second Miri By-pass road to the new housing areas.

    5. Shift Miri City Council, to Sungai Dalam so that everyone who deals with them can take more time out of the office. Build more coffee-break outlet along the way.

    6. Change SMK Merbau’s name to Kolej Tun Mahatir and that makes all the parent rushing in to send their children there.. so less morning traffic ferrying students to St Joe, Columba, etc..
